Just like an office Local Area Network (LAN) the Swift has a Controlled Area Network (CANBUS) to enable data transfer between the cars microprocessors and components. 6 microprocessors connected in a highspeed Canbus control Engine, ABS_EBD, EPS, Auto AC, Security and Deadlock and Airbag. CAN systems have a very high speed data transfer capability and this enables real time control of components. Other advantages of the CAN system include less wiring since all signals travel on a single main wire. This makes the system more reliable.Faults can also be diagnosed using a hand held computer (TECH 2) which scans the entire system and can give a technician technician information about what is wrong.
